Ticket Information
Ticket prices vary, please check individual event listings or contact the Box Office.
Group Booking Discounts
Applies to selected shows when large quantities (usually 10+) of tickets to the same event are purchased at the same time. Please check at Box Office before booking.
Family Ticket
Our family ticket offers good value for money and varies depending on specific event. A family ticket is available for four people, minimum of 1 adult and one under 16. Even for larger families the family ticket purchased with other children’s tickets still provides excellent value for money. A selection of booster seats are available on a first come first serve basis.
Babies in Arms
For all our children’s shows, children aged 12 months and under can sit on their parents or guardians lap for free, for children aged over 12 months usual ticket prices will apply and a seat will be allocated. The Atkinson retains the right to exclude babies in arms for any performance.
Concessions
Available on selected performances to Senior Citizens (Age 60+), full time students, registered unemployed, and children under 16. Proof of status is required.
Wheelchair Places
Wheelchair places are available, subject to availability. Please contact Box Office to book. See seating plans for reference.
Essential Companion (Carer) Tickets
Essential Companion (Carer) tickets are intended for customers requiring additional support. This must be due to disability-related needs, significant and in excess of what could be reasonably expected of family or friends already accompanying you. The Atkinson’s policy on Essential companion (carer) tickets is 1 free carer ticket for each paying disabled visitor.
We have always treated this area very sensitively. Some patrons whose disability is not often obvious may be asked for proof and any of the list detailed below are acceptable.
Any documentation should be no more than 2 years old.
- Entitlement to Disability Living Allowance for children under 16 or DLA/Personal Independent Payments (PIP) for those aged 16-64, either in the form of a letter stating that the benefit has been awarded, or the actual Allowance book.
- Attendance Allowance or Carer’s Allowance letter of award.
- Incapacity Benefit books, or a letter notifying the recipient that the benefit has been awarded Incapacity Benefit or Employment and Support Allowance (ESA).
- In the case of visual impairment, a registration card known as the BD8 or a Certificate of Visual Impairment (CVI).
- A recognised Assistance Dog ID Card.
- Credibility’s Access Card.
- Valid Blue Badge e.g. a person may not have a recognised carer but be unable to access the building without assistance from a family member or other person.
Assistance dogs require an essential companion ticket. Assistance dogs are dogs that have been highly trained to carry out a range of tasks and alerts that support a disabled person or person with a long-term medical condition. Examples include a guide dog that guides a visually impaired person, a medical alert dog that alerts a person to an oncoming medical episode, an assistance dog that alerts someone with a psychiatric condition to take medication.
Recommended Visually Impaired Seating
Theatre Shows: Row D – seats 8-15.
Studio Shows: Row D – seats 6-13.
Hearing Loss Assistance
Both Atkinson’s theatre spaces are equipped with an infra-red hard of hearing system. Patrons will need one of two receivers that we have in order to access the system fully. Patrons with a ‘T’ position equipped hearing aid can use the individual loop device receiver (EKI 830). Hard of hearing patrons can use the ear bows receiver (HDI 830). Please note this device is NOT suitable for patrons who have pacemakers or implanted defibrillators due to the magnetic field generated by the ear bows. Devices, with instruction sheets are available to loan for Atkinson shows. Please ask at Box Office staff or a member of the Front of House team if you wish to use either receiver. When booking seats, it is important to note that the infra-red emitters work from row E upwards in the theatre auditorium. There is no charge for the use of these devices.
The Atkinson has built up relationships with many of our regular disabled patrons and we understand their needs and requirements. We do not keep any register of disability. Please contact the Box Office to book tickets.
