The natural and not so natural history of the Ribble Estuary National Nature Reserve.

A talk by Dave Mercer, Senior Reserve Manager for Natural England

The Ribble Estuary is one of the largest single river saltmarshes in the country and one of the most important sites on the East Atlantic flyway for migratory birds.  This talk will take you on a tour of this special place to learn about its wildlife, the people managing it now and how the people of the past shaped it.

Lunchtime Talk: Object of the Month

Join us at The Atkinson for free lunchtime talks on the second Wednesday of every month, where we delve into highlights from our Museum and Art Gallery collections.
