Couldn’t make it to Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year? Don’t worry, we’re bringing the laughter to Southport. We’re thrilled to host a brilliant line-up of shows fresh from the world’s biggest art festival.

Following a Fringe 2025 sell-out, we welcome Cally Beaton to the stage this October with her new show ‘Namaste Motherf*ckers’ which is a quick-witted, unexpected and unapologetic insight into life in midlife. Based on her book of the same name (which has just made the Sunday Times’ best seller book list!) the show also includes a Q&A and meet-ang-greet with Cally herself.

The Dark Room, which has also previously sold out at Edinburgh Fringe Festival, is a high-octane interactive show. Now its 13th year, the show is filled with stand-up, appalling prizes and more audience chanting than you’d get at a protest – The Dark Room is a gut-busting rock n’ roll comedy experience for everyone who buys a ticket.

There’s even something for the little ones; Comedy Club 4 Kids invites the best stand-ups and sketch acts from the international circuit to do their thing for an audience of children and their families… but without the rude bits!

Next year, Mark Watson hits the stage with his hilarious Before It Overtakes Us tour. The Telegraph hailed a previous Fringe performance as ‘Quite unlike anything else I’ve seen in almost 20 years of covering the Fringe…witty, warm, perfectly judged’. Expect a typically frantic and fun-packed new show.

If silliness is what you’re after, Paul Merton and Suki Webster will be here in February. Expect a show full of fast, fabulously funny improvised games, scenes, stories and laugh out loud surrealism as these two masters of Comedy Improvisation join forces with their very special guests.

Basic Bloke 2 – There’s No Bloke Without Fire is the latest tour from comedian, author, podcaster and radio host Geoff Norcott and Geoff’s first under a Labour government, so he’s got plenty to get off his chest!

Whether you’re hoping for belly laughs, family fun or something a little unexpected, there’s something for everyone here at The Atkinson.
