The Sefton Open 2026 returned as a vibrant celebration of creativity and artistic talent from across the borough, once again filling The Atkinson’s gallery with an eclectic salon-style hang.
The exhibition was selected by The Atkinson’s longstanding partner, Southport Palette Club, who chose the works by individual artists. Founded in 1921 to champion local artistic talent, this year marked the club’s 100th annual exhibition at The Atkinson, a significant milestone in its history.
Visitors were encouraged to engage fully with the exhibition by voting for their favourite pieces. The votes have now been counted, and the winners of the People’s Prize have been chosen and Southport Palette Club members have also chosen their Judge’s favourites.
Congratulations to all of the winners for this well-deserved recognition of their talent, you can scroll down to the Gallery slider to view the artworks.
