Brace yourselves for a mammoth mission in 2026. A brand-new family theatre spectacular, Ice Age Adventure Live, promises prehistoric thrills, big laughs, and plenty of icy surprises for audiences of all ages.
This frosty, fast-paced adventure whisks families back in time to a snow covered world of towering glaciers and forgotten creatures. Along the way, young explorers will trek through frozen valleys, outwit sabre-toothed surprises, and befriend the coolest cavemen around—plus a few long-lost dodo pals for good measure. The heart of the story centres on a daring mission to save a woolly mammoth, with the audience invited to jump in and help when the adventure heats up.
Writer Edward Johnson says “It’s been such a joy to create a brand new piece of theatre for family audiences. There’s something irresistible and mystical about the prehistoric world. The Ice Age opens the door so brilliantly to imaginative storytelling and big, bold characters. It’s a chance for little ones (and their grown-ups) to travel back in time to a chilly chapter of history. It’s a story full of heart, spectacle and just enough frost you’ll be glad the heating’s on in the theatre.”
From the producers of Dinosaur Adventure Live – this is another show thoughtfully designed as a fully interactive live experience, the production blends arctic animals, playful storytelling, and moments of audience participation to keep little ones engaged from the first snowflake to the final cheer. And the adventure doesn’t end with the curtain call: after the show, families can meet a larger-than-life prehistoric pal in a special meet-and-greet moment with the show’s polar bear to solidify a memorable day out.
So grab your snow boots, stomp back in time, and get ready for a frozen tale the whole family will be talking about long after the ice melts.
